Inverness Canoe Club
Inverness Canoe Club paddlers explore the sea and whitewater. Open canoes and SUP are also part of its programme. Beginner introductions start in the Aquadome pool before moving to Muirtown Basin and outdoor paddling. Members can hire boats, and junior participation requires arrangements before each event.

Before you join
- Adult beginners
Join through the club's linked WebCollect membership page. The club website says individual membership is for ages 18 and over, while the checkout description says over 18. Ask the club to confirm the correct category if you are 18. Supporter membership does not permit paddling. Beginners should ask about the next introductory course.
- Junior paddlers
Ages 12 to 17 may join without an adult membership. Under-12s must join through family membership. Every junior event needs prior arrangements, and a responsible adult signs the junior declaration. WebCollect does not show a separate family product, so confirm the registration route rather than choosing a guessed category.
- Equipment
Boat hire is a membership benefit, with canoes and kayaks available. The club's welcome page gives no complete safety-kit or clothing list for each activity. Arrange your boat and check the kit requirements for the session you plan to attend.
- Accessibility
The Aquadome operator lists accessible parking, toilets and changing facilities, with ramps to reception and the wet-side areas. These building facilities do not establish access into a kayak, an adapted launch or support on the canal and sea. Contact the club to discuss any support you require.
- Where the club paddles
Winter pool sessions and the first stage of the beginner course use Inverness Aquadome. The operator identifies Inverness Leisure at Bught Lane, IV3 5SS. Muirtown Basin is a later canal-training venue. Confirm where each session meets rather than treating the pool as the club's permanent postal base.
