Before you join
- Adult beginners
The membership year starts on 1 April and ends on 31 March. Adult membership is GBP 45, plus GBP 5 for each member session. Two people joining together receive GBP 10 off. A GBP 10 taster is the practical first step. Check the live page before travelling.
- Junior paddlers
Under-18 membership is GBP 35. Junior renewals need parental consent and cannot currently be completed online. The taster page says all ages and abilities are welcome, but gives no minimum age or supervision rules. Ask before booking a child.
- Equipment
For GBP 10, taster visitors can borrow the craft and paddle. A buoyancy aid and wetsuit are also supplied. Kayaks, open canoes and paddleboards are available for these sessions. Confirm sizes, clothing and what is available on the chosen date.
- Accessibility
The club publishes a financial-access policy and says it welcomes anyone who can safely take part. The sources give no practical detail for wheelchair users. They do not cover changing-room access, getting onto the water, hands-on assistance or specialist boats. Contact the club before paying.
- Where the club paddles
Tuesday club nights run from 18:00 to 20:00 at Fishermans Green. First-time visitors should arrive at 17:45. The main site lists tasters into October 2026, while the new-paddler page says April to September. Check the live booking page and weather before travelling.
