Before you join
- Adult beginners
Beginners should ask the membership secretary about the next induction. Experienced paddlers may join at any time, but club coaches check ability before harder trips. The current page lists Gold at £250, Silver at £200 and Bronze adult membership at £35, with Canoe Wales membership separate.
- Junior paddlers
The youth section is aimed at secondary-school-age paddlers. Bronze youth membership is listed at £20, with a £5 club-kit trip fee. The site names a welfare officer and safeguarding policy but gives no exact minimum age or first-session rule for parents.
- Equipment
Published kit charges conflict. The joining page lists £9 for an adult Bronze trip with club kit and £5 for youth. The equipment page says £4 for adults and £2 for youth. Gold includes outdoor kit without a guaranteed boat, while Silver includes five kit sessions. Confirm the price before booking.
- Accessibility
The club publishes an equality policy, but its public pages do not explain step-free routes, accessible changing, transfer help or adapted craft. Trip venues change. Tell the membership secretary what support you need before joining an induction or trip.
- Where the club paddles
The club has no single public base. Its September 2026 calendar moves between St Brides, Solva, Broad Haven and other trips. Winter pool training is listed without a public venue or arrival point. No map is shown until the club confirms the right place for a first session.
