Glasgow University Canoe Club
GUCC brings University of Glasgow paddlers together for kayaking. It welcomes different ability levels, with pool training, Pinkston evenings and river trips centred on whitewater, canoe polo and freestyle.

Before you join
- Adult beginners
The current GUSA page welcomes all ability levels. It lists a Thursday pool session, regular weekday evenings at Pinkston and a couple of river trips in a typical month. Joining requires the GUSA survey, an eligible UofG Sport membership and GUCC membership. Trips labelled Peer Paddling are not official club activity and are not covered by club membership.
- Junior paddlers
No separate junior route or minimum age is published. The joining process requires UofG Sport membership and club membership through GUSA, so prospective members should check their eligibility before paying or attending.
- Equipment
The current club page does not publish a loan-boat, safety-kit or clothing list. Ask the club what is supplied for pool, Pinkston and river sessions before committing to a trip.
- Accessibility
Neither the GUSA profile nor the Paddle UK entry gives practical access information for poolside, Pinkston or river days. Ask about the route, changing support, water transfers and suitable craft before booking.
- Where the club paddles
Pinkston Watersports is the named weekday whitewater venue. The club also runs Thursday pool training and river trips, but the current public page does not identify the pool or present trip destinations as fixed meeting points.
