Before you join
- Adult beginners
The club welcomes beginners as well as experienced paddlers. Newcomers can arrange up to three taster sessions before membership, but should contact the club first because the suitable activity and venue can change.
- Junior paddlers
Junior activity starts from age eight. Introductory courses build core paddling skills before young members choose general paddling, canoe polo or slalom, subject to the club's current group capacity.
- Equipment
Club boats and safety equipment are available during organised activity, and the outdoor venue also has wetsuits. Sizes and availability are not guaranteed for every session, so confirm what the club will supply and what clothing to bring.
- Accessibility
The membership page describes accessible club facilities at Collingwood Dock. It does not document the route from arrival to the water, transfer assistance or adaptive craft, so individual support should be discussed before booking.
- Where the club paddles
Collingwood Dock is the main outdoor base. The club also uses Speke and Bootle pools for some winter activity, while trips and competitions use other venues. Follow the current booking instructions rather than a copied timetable.
