Before you join
- Adult beginners
A current partner-run post says the club has a limited number of spaces for newcomers and asks interested people to get in touch. Capacity depends on equipment and qualified leaders, so do not travel without a reply.
- Junior paddlers
The founding article mentions family-friendly plans, but no current minimum age, youth intake or supervision rule is published. Families should ask whether a suitable place is available before applying.
- Equipment
The founding partners paid for paddleboards, leader training and a secure storage shed. The club still describes equipment and leader capacity as limited, and it does not offer general public hire.
- Accessibility
The club grew from a wellbeing programme, but the reviewed sources do not publish a step-free route, water-entry support or adaptive paddleboards. Discuss individual requirements before booking.
- Where the club paddles
The club operates around Foxton Locks on the Grand Union Canal. Its exact shed, launch and meeting point are not publicly verified, so the map deliberately covers the wider locks area.
