Before you join

Adult beginners

Beginners and experienced paddlers should contact the membership secretary before a first session. The club advertises introductory blocks every other month, but a place and suitable equipment must be confirmed. Trip leaders set the experience needed for each outing.

Junior paddlers

Junior membership covers people under 18. Before a junior joins any activity, their parent or guardian completes both the membership details and a separate Partnering with Parents form. Family membership can include up to five people at one address.

Equipment

The club has sea kayaks, river boats, open canoes and SUPs for adults and children. Boats, paddles, spray decks, buoyancy aids and some wetsuits can be borrowed at relevant sessions. Stock is limited and some kit must be booked.

Accessibility

The club says it aims to remove barriers to paddlesport. Its public pages lack a detailed access guide for the pool, loch, whitewater and trip venues. Ask about the specific site, changing, transfers and suitable equipment.

Where the club paddles

The regular programme changes by season. Tuesday sessions use Clydebank Leisure Centre from September to April and Loch Lomond from May to August. Pinkston whitewater sessions run on seasonal Thursdays, while trip meeting points vary.
