Before you join

Adult beginners: Paddlers of any experience level can contact the club. Its published programme normally runs on two Sunday afternoons each month from April to September, weather permitting. Sessions include rest breaks and are supported by trained volunteers.
Junior paddlers: The club welcomes all ages and family members. No lower age, swim test or supervision guidance appears in the material reviewed. Families should ask what support and consent arrangements apply.
Equipment: Canoes, general-purpose kayaks, sea kayaks, paddles and buoyancy aids are available. Single and tandem kayaks allow different support arrangements. Availability and fit should be confirmed before attending.
Accessibility: Members include people with physical disabilities and behavioural or developmental challenges. Volunteers can provide tailored coaching, tandem support and help on the private slipway. Ask the club about transfers, personal support and suitable craft.
