davepaddles.co.uk is a non-profit, Paddle UK-affiliated multi-craft club based in Hertfordshire. Members join Sunday trips, summer evening paddles, skills awards and safety practice on waterways around the UK.

Before you join

Adult beginners: The current club pages offer annual, summer, pay-as-you-go and non-paddling memberships. Applications are approved and places can be limited. Non-members may join a suitable trip only with the leader's agreement, so arrange a place before travelling.
Junior paddlers: The reviewed club pages and 2026-27 application do not publish a minimum age, junior programme, supervision rule or safeguarding route. A parent or carer should ask whether the intended session accepts a young person and what adult support is required.
Equipment: The club welcomes kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards, sit-on-tops and inflatables, but it does not publish a complete loan-kit inventory for ordinary trips. Confirm the craft, paddle, buoyancy aid, clothing and transport needed for the chosen activity.
Accessibility: The membership form asks about accessibility, communication and other support requirements. The national directory also records accessible facilities, but no fixed venue or detailed access guide is published. Describe the required support before joining a trip.
Where the club paddles: The club is based in Hertfordshire and usually paddles on Sundays, with some other days and summer evenings. Local trips use rivers and canals, while the programme also travels around the UK. The county map is an area reference, not a launch or meeting point.
