Cuckmere Valley Canoe Club
Cuckmere Valley Canoe Club runs Sunday paddling from its Barn at Seven Sisters Country Park. Adults, families and children aged eight and over can try kayaking, canoeing, sea and surf paddling or paddleboarding.

Before you join
- Adult beginners
Adults can book a pre-arranged taster before choosing membership. The club season runs from April to October, with Sunday members meeting before the on-water session. Published membership includes adult and family options. Contact the club before arriving because coaching, conditions and capacity affect each session.
- Junior paddlers
Children can join from age eight. An adult responsible for an eight-to-12-year-old needs to stay at the Barn or paddle with the session. From 13, that adult can remain nearby but must be contactable. Booking, leaders, equipment and conditions still control each place.
- Equipment
The club says it supplies boats, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, paddles, helmets, buoyancy aids and paddling jackets for its sessions. It does not supply wetsuits. Fit, size and craft choice depend on the planned activity, so follow the booking instructions about personal clothing.
- Accessibility
The Barn offers basic changing space, showers, toilets and a kitchen, with a public slipway leading to the water. No published access statement covers slopes, facility layout, craft transfers, modified equipment or individual assistance. Send the club the full requirement before reserving a taster or session.
- Where the club paddles
Sunday activity starts from the club Barn at Seven Sisters Country Park near Exceat. The Barn sits behind the main car park by the public slipway. Parking beside the Barn is limited, while the public car park is pay and display. Taster times and other outings may differ.
