Before you join

Adult beginners

The current annual fees are £20 for an adult, £15 for a young person and £40 for a family. Non-members can register interest in a lake session, where the published equipment charge is £7. Membership is required for trips, pool sessions and taking equipment away. Check prices before paying.

Junior paddlers

A family membership must include an adult when a paddler is under 14. Anyone younger than 18 has their application submitted by a parent or guardian, although 14 to 17-year-olds do not require that adult to become a member. Parents must remain and supervise children during pool sessions.

Equipment

The lake fee covers a kayak, canoe or paddleboard, along with its paddle and spray deck. A buoyancy aid and helmet are included too. Members pay £5 and non-members £7. Members may hire other club equipment for approved trips or personal use, but paddleboards cannot be taken away privately.

Accessibility

The national listing records accessible facilities, changing and toilets. The club also describes itself as inclusive, but no reviewed source describes the step-free route, lake-edge transfer, adapted craft or hands-on help. Discuss the complete visit before booking.

Where the club paddles

Most lake sessions meet at the boat shed on Clevedon Marine Lake. Sea, river and canal trips use changing locations, while members-only winter pool practice uses Backwell Leisure Centre. The calendar and Spond carry the exact booking and ability requirements.
