Chiswick Pier Canoe Club
The tidal Thames is Chiswick Pier Canoe Club's year-round home water. Sunday river sessions, Wednesday pool practice and coached tasters lead into touring, sea kayaking, whitewater trips and independent paddling.

Before you join
- Adult beginners
New paddlers can book a coached taster programme. The current price is £12 for the pool and £25 for each of two Thames days, or £62 for all three. Adult unlimited Sunday membership is £120. Pay-as-you-go membership is £40, followed by £10 for each Sunday session. Check prices before paying.
- Junior paddlers
Teenagers aged 14 and over may join when a parent or guardian remains on hand. There is no published route for younger children. Ask how the guardian rule applies to the taster, river and pool session you want to use.
- Equipment
Membership and taster fees include the club's kayaks, sea kayaks or canoes, paddles, spray decks, buoyancy aids and waterproof cagoules. Size and session determine availability. Confirm the exact boat and clothing package when booking.
- Accessibility
Pier House has showers and toilets, with parking and public transport nearby. No current club page tells wheelchair users whether the route is step-free. Information about changing, boarding assistance, modified boats and individual help is missing. Discuss the complete visit before booking.
- Where the club paddles
Sunday Thames sessions usually last three to four hours and change with the tide and weather. Wednesday practice uses the Janet Adegoke Swimming Pool at Phoenix Fitness Centre. Other trips cover touring, sea kayaking and whitewater. Use each booking confirmation for its exact meeting place.
