Before you join

Adult beginners: The 2026 beginner and improver courses each run for five weeks at Woodgreen. Courses include equipment and membership for the rest of the club year. Membership itself runs from June to May, with later reductions, but current public pages do not show the subscription price before sign-in.
Junior paddlers: Beginner and improver courses accept children over 9 who can swim 25 metres. Anyone under 18 needs permission from their parent or guardian, and reduced course fees are available. No public source sets a full supervision rule for ordinary club sessions. Families should ask before booking.
Equipment: Course fees include the required equipment. At pool sessions, members can use club kayaks, polo boats, open canoes and paddleboards, plus paddles and safety kit. Equipment must be returned to the store after the session, and the available range can change with the activity.
