Before you join

Adult beginners

The club offers a free first taster and asks newcomers to make contact before attending. Its 2026-27 page lists adult winter membership at £23 a month, or pay-as-you-go at £6 per summer session and £10 per winter session. Spond is the current sign-up route.

Junior paddlers

The club welcomes paddlers of all ages. Its 2026-27 junior and concession plan covers ages 18 and under or 60 and over at £13 a month. The same £6 summer and £10 winter pay-as-you-go prices are shown. A parent should confirm supervision, spaces and the right session in Spond.

Equipment

The free taster includes the equipment needed to take part. All-inclusive membership also covers session kit and coaching. The public page does not list individual items, sizes or exactly what a pay-as-you-go booking includes, so confirm clothing and availability before attending.

Accessibility

The national directory marks accessible sessions and facilities. The club also describes SUP as accessible to all, but neither source explains step-free routes, changing, transfers, adapted craft or individual support. Ask the club how the chosen venue and activity would work for you.

Where the club paddles

Summer activity runs from April to September. The page lists Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm at Summerleaze and fortnightly Mondays from 6:30pm to 8pm at Bude Canal. Winter uses Holsworthy Pool, but the displayed pool timetable is stale. Check Spond for every current session.
