Before you join

Adult beginners

New and experienced paddlers can attend after completing the club's annual consent and membership form. The published river season is Wednesday evenings from May to September. Speak to the club before attending because session details and capacity can change.

Junior paddlers

The club publishes a minimum age of eight. A parent or guardian must complete the annual form for anyone under 18. The reviewed pages do not state every supervision condition, so families should confirm attendance arrangements before travelling.

Equipment

The club says it can provide the equipment needed to paddle. River participants still need suitable water clothing and footwear, a towel and a change of clothes. Pool guidance asks for swimwear, a T-shirt, shorts and light footwear, with paddling equipment supplied.

Accessibility

The club pages describe the route under the railway to the boathouse. They do not confirm step-free access, accessible changing, adapted craft or transfer support. General leisure-centre facilities do not prove what is available during a club pool booking. Ask before attending.

Where the club paddles

River sessions normally meet at the Sea Scouts boathouse on the River Witham during the May to September season. The club also publishes a short winter pool programme at Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex. Other member-arranged trips have changing destinations and are separate from regular club sessions.
