Before you join
- Adult beginners
Membership follows a taster session. The club publishes full, family and concession categories, while the Spond instructions are for people accepted after their taster. Book the taster route first rather than using the membership form as a first contact.
- Junior paddlers
Junior membership covers people whose eighteenth birthday falls on or after 30 September in the application year. Under-12s need a parent or nominated responsible adult throughout club activities. Swim tests and capsize drills may be required before extended or open-water trips.
- Equipment
The club stores paddling equipment at both its river and pool venues. Pool visitors bring swimwear and a towel. River visitors need suitable footwear, a waterproof layer, spare clothes and a towel. Equipment availability and session charges should be checked when booking.

- Where the club paddles
The club lists pool sessions from October to March at Robert Gordon's College and river sessions from April to September at Seaton Park. Its river page gives a Thursday time, but the embedded calendar currently shows no sessions. Use the latest booking details instead of relying on the usual pattern.
